Testicular cancer - don't be embarrassed!
From Graham Durrant
Two months ago I found a lump in my right testicle. I'm 50 and I was terrified. I went to the doctors on a Tuesday, got an appointment that day for the following Monday and had it removed on the Thursday, yes that quickly!
If your worried don't be, no one is as scared of hospitals as me, all the staff at the Queens Elizabeth Hospital (Birmingham) are just brilliant.
I had a seminoma stage 1, I caught it early, had it removed, 1 dose of chemotherapy and a 5 year back up plan to keep a eye on me, CT, scans, blood tests, X-rays etc...
So please examine yourself and if you find anything get it sorted ASAP. Don't worry about the embarrassment all the staff are used it.
