Writing a diary

From Jackie Walker

When my husband was diagnosed with bladder cancer last year, I decided to write a diary. I don’t put things down every day, only when I feel the need to say something about my feelings. I also write about what is going on with regards to my husband, such as his treatment and how he is in himself. It helps, especially if I feel helpless, and it releases my emotions. I may show it to someone one day or just tear it up at a later time. But for now it is private. This is my way of coping. Also, since my husband’s operation, he has had 2 secondary cancers, so I have a lot to write about.
