Check your moles!
From Joanne Hill
What a year!
2006 what a year, my brave Mum was diagnosed with Skin Cancer in January after a courageous fight lost her battle on May 29th, I thought my world would end as she was my Mum and Best Friend all rolled into one.
Four weeks later I walked the Race for Life with my friends very emotional but worthwhile. While taking part a friend remarked about a mole on my leg, off to the doctors i went six weeks after my Mums death the same doctor was telling me I also had skin cancer.
I was told I would need another operation and skin graft while doing this operation they also found cancer cells in a different mole on my back.
I am now doing fine with the help of my little girls, husband, family and the angel in heaven, but please if anything you take from my story is don't take families for granted and check those moles, never forgetting that sun tan cream should be applied as often as possible.
