A Hodgkin's lymphoma story
From Natasha Williamson
It was November 2001 when I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I was so surprised, shocked, scared, and angry because I thought "why me?" I was 20 years old.
I was treated with chemotherapy at the Queen Elizabeth hospital, and I must say that all my questions were answered promptly and the nurses and doctors became "my family", especially my Oncologist Dr Cullen and my nurse Monica. It was a very lonely time and a scary time, but they got me through it and I will be eternally grateful to them, I had 6 months of Chemotherapy and I am now in remission and looking forward to my 27th birthday in a few weeks!!
If anyone needs any advice on how to cope with the illness, please feel free to contact me, my email address is twink169@hotmail.com.
