Financial support

Coping with cancer

This section is about the possible financial support available to you when you have cancer. If you have cancer, you may be earning less because you can't work, or are working fewer hours. You may also have unexpected expenses, such as increased heating costs or medical costs. There is information in this section about the grants, benefits and financial advice available from various agencies.

You or your carer may be eligible for financial help from the Benefits Agency or a charity. This may prove invaluable in helping you deal with some of the practical aspects of having cancer.
