What you've been up to in pink

We are always amazed at the lengths that our supporters will go to raise money for breast cancer research.
Many of you have suffered with breast cancer yourselves or know someone close that has.
Your brave fundraising efforts are both admirable and motivating, and we would like to share just a few stories with you as a thank-you and an inspiration to others.

Expedition to the South Pole for breast cancer research
Polly Hatchard organised an expedition to the South Pole in support of Cancer Research UK. Polly, 30, an Air Engineer Officer for the Royal Navy, set out on her mammoth challenge with five other team members.
The 112-mile journey, in temperatures sometimes dropping below -50°C took them over a month to complete. And when Polly reached the South Pole she stripped down to boots and bikini to show her support to those touched by breast cancer.
She also took a Pink Bear from one of our corporate partners, Peacocks, with her on the journey. This was auctioned off on her return.
The Pampered Chef kitchenware
Consultants from The Pampered Chef are holding fundraising cooking shows up and down the country during October in Support of Cancer Research UK.
Not only are the cooking shows great fun but Cancer Research UK will receive a percentage of all profits made at fundraising shows and there will also be a chance to purchase limited edition pink products with £1 for each sale going to Cancer Research UK.
Host a cooking show at any of your events or just with family and friends and help us raise money for breast cancer research.
Pony rally raises over £12,000 for breast cancer research
Ian Pearson raised more than £12,000 for Cancer Research UK in memory of his late wife, Sarah.
Mrs Pearson died from cancer in October at the age of 40 and two months later 100 riders took part in an All Join Together day.
The day included a show-jumping competition, a raffle and an auction at the Greenlands Equestrian Centre near Carlisle, Cumbria.
