Walks range from 3k strolls to bracing 12k hikes. Some events offer two distances. For more information, please see your chosen venue page.

The contents of your registration pack can depend on your chosen walk. For further details please contact your local fundraising office on 08701 60 20 40.

The entry fee will be used to cover the administrative and organisational costs of the walk. This includes postage of registration packs, admin staff time, printing and stationary costs.

While some costs are unavoidable, we try to keep them to a minimum. Once all costs are covered, all remaining entry fees will go to our life-saving work.

We do ask everyone to try to raise as much sponsorship money as possible. Some walks may have a minimum sponsorship amount – please contact your walk organiser for further details on this.

Fundraising online is the quickest and easiest way to raise sponsorship money for research into breast cancer.

Create your online fundraising page and ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you online. Every pound you raise will go towards our life-saving work.

The sponsorship money you raise will go towards our vital research into breast cancer. Last year Cancer Research UK spent nearly £44 million on breast cancer research, so every pound you can raise will help us make progress in understanding and treating the disease.

At some walks you can bring a cheque on the day. Please make your cheque payable to Cancer Research UK. Otherwise, the cheque should be sent after the event to your local fundraising office. Full details will be included in your registration pack.

You will receive a thank-you letter, acknowledging safe receipt of your money.

Some venues will allow you to enter on the day, but not all. Please check this detail on your chosen event page.

Absolutely! Our walks are family events, so everyone is welcome. Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

Dress warmly, bring a waterproof jacket and wear shoes suitable for walking.

Food and drink may be provided at some events, but it is better to check first and bring your own if necessary.

Some of our most successful events have happened in the rain and we aim to hold events whatever the weather.

There will be details in your registration pack of how to find out if an event is still going ahead.

Nearly all the walk venues allow dogs. Please see your chosen venue for details.

Most of the walk venues are suitable for pushchairs – please see your chosen venue for details.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month takes place every October. It aims to raise vital funds for research into breast cancer and to encourage people to be breast aware. The symbol for Breast Cancer Awareness Month is the pink ribbon.

This October we are encouraging as many people as possible to get involved. Events will be taking place across the UK, so if you can't join in with one of our sponsored walks or other fundraising events, why not help us by organising your own activity?
