Registration fee £350 (personal non-refundable contribution).

Minimum fundraising target £4,000 (excluding the registration fee).

80% (£3,200) must be received by the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK ten weeks before departure (5 September 2008) and the balance (£800) four weeks after your return to the UK (23 December 2008).

To make raising money for the Bobby Moore Fund really simple, why not set up your own online sponsorship page. Online fundraising is the easiest way to collect sponsorship from your friends and family and it makes fundraising a breeze.

Fitness

Previous renovating experience or skills are not necessary. This project will involve manual labour and activity of up to eight hours per day. The itinerary is designed to be challenging but achievable for the average person, however it is important that you train and get fit in order to get the most out of your challenge and complete the work required as a team.

Accommodation

Two person tents while working on the project.

Weather

The weather will be hot and there may be a chance of rain. As with any destination it is impossible to predict the exact weather so you will need to be prepared for all eventualities. A detailed kit list will be sent to you plenty of time before departure.

Tour operator

Across the Divide is responsible for all aspects of the organisation of the event, including route planning, camp arrangements and the health and safety of all participants. Across the Divide have a wealth of experience in arranging challenges throughout the world.

Project South Africa 2008 ground operations and air travel arrangements are provided by Across the Divide Ltd and ATOL protected, ATOL number 6475 and their booking conditions (PDF) apply.

The money you raise will go to the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK to help tackle bowel cancer.
