This year, the Sport Matters Group is supporting the Bobby Moore Fund, and providing you with the unique opportunity to cycle from London to Mont Blanc. Challenge fee £1,495 Minimum fundraising pledge £1,250 The ChallengeThis expedition offers a once in a lifetime chance to cycle through some of the most spectacular scenery in France. After leaving London, you will cycle through English countryside and head south towards Dover. Once in France, you will wind your way through picturesque rural villages, passing the awe-inspiring fields of the Battle of Somme and the world renowned Cathedral of Notre Dame in Reims. You can be sure that your experience will be heightened every step of the way by the fine wine and mouth-watering culinary delights that France has to offer. On the final day of the 700 mile trip, you will leave the chic lakeside town of Annecy, climbing 1487m to the Col Des Aravis. Then, descend down the opposite face to Chamonix Mont Blanc, a snow-kissed haven of tranquillity and stunning natural beauty.
