Cancer Awareness Nurses
We are recruiting experienced nurses for our Cancer Awareness activity across the UK to play a vital role in achieving our vision of beating cancer sooner. We travel to the heart of communities talking to over 60,000 people every year about cancer, directly reaching people most in need, helping people to take steps to reduce their risk of cancer through lifestyle changes. What is it like to be a nurse at CRUK?
“My work on the Roadshow and our Hub has provided some great opportunities to develop professionally and make a real difference in the areas of prevention and early diagnosis. Every day is different and challenging, helping our visitors to be more aware and to take small steps in improving their lifestyle. I have had the privilege of meeting some amazing people through my work. Knowing you have been able to listen and give someone your time and help is very rewarding, especially as we’re working with some of the most vulnerable groups in society. Cancer Research UK is a great organisation to work for and I’m very happy and proud to be a part of it." - Lesley Green, Senior Cancer Awareness Nurse
