This book covers all aspects of thyroid cancer and its treatment. It is written by medical experts. The book is American so some information is not applicable to a UK audience. There is a chapter containing patients' commentaries about living with thyroid cancer.

Written by a woman who has had thyroid cancer, this book covers the causes of thyroid cancer, the different treatments available, emotional and psychological issues and complementary therapies. The author is Canadian and some of the information is not relevant for the UK. But the book is easy to read and comprehensive.
The Purple Butterfly: Diary of a thyroid cancer patient

This book is the year long diary of a UK thyroid cancer patient. It gives a look into the issues faced by someone diagnosed with cancer and having treatment. It covers Susan's personal thoughts and feelings from before diagnosis, through her treatment and her feelings after treatment had ended. The book gives detailed information about what it is like to have radioactive iodine treatment.
