Cancer Research UK is the largest cancer research organisation in the world, outside the USA. We are the European leader in the development of new anti-cancer drugs. We fund research on all aspects of the disease from its causes, to treatment and prevention.

We are also committed to producing high quality information for people affected by cancer, health professionals and the general public. We do this through our website, which includes patient information and news and resources website, and through our range of health awareness leaflets.

This organisation offers support to people affected by melanoma. They have a free phone line which is available 24 hours a day, and is run by volunteers who have personal experience of melanoma. They have a network of people affected by melanoma who they can put you in touch with. They also organise support meetings every few months at various places in the UK.

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. They provide booklets on cancer and treatments and run helplines providing cancer information and benefits advice.

National Cancer Institute (USA)
The American National Cancer Institute's patient information on melanoma cancer is detailed and comprehensive but there are no images. There is a melanoma home page, from where you can access treatment information, including a section on melanoma of the eye.
