Tests to stage

You might have one or more of these tests to find out the type of lymphoma and see whether it has spread. Rarely you might have other tests such as endoscopy.

CT scan

A CT scan might show which lymph nodes are affected by non Hodgkin lymphoma. 

PET scan

Bone marrow test

Ultrasound scan

Ultrasound scans are useful for looking at individual organs such as the liver and kidneys and showing any changes.

Lumbar puncture

Bone scan

You only have this test if you have bone pain. It checks for non Hodgkin lymphoma in the bones.
