The course is multi terrain on grass, road and gravel paths. It is undulating throughout, with one steep hill.

The route takes runners around beautiful landscaped parkland and passes the historic Heaton Hall and Town Hall Collonades.

Thank you to everyone who entered Heathon Park Run 10k. It was a brilliant event, which saw over 900 men and women come together to complete the 10k course, and raise money for Cancer Research UK's vital work.

We'd also like to thank all our volunteers, sponsors and media partners who kindly gave up their time to make the event happen – your support is really appreciated.

Remember, Run 10k isn't over until you send back your sponsorship money. This year we hope to raise £62,000 from the Heathon Park event, so don't delay in sending yours in!
