Event rescheduled

We are very pleased to announce a new venue and date for the Alnwick Castle Run 10k.

The flood damage to the course has made it impossible to stage Run 10k at this venue. This event will now take place at Exhibition Park in Newcastle on 2 November 2008.

If you wish to transfer to another event, please call the hotline on 0871 641 2401 between 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Please arrive an hour before the start of your Run 10k event. There will be a stretch and warm-up half an hour before your run.

All traffic approaching from north or south on the A1 should exit at the Denwick junction (just to the north of Alnwick) and then follow event signage which takes traffic round to the north side of the town (avoiding the town centre) and into the event car park.

There is a large free car park available just to the north of the start/finish area - follow event signage.

Local bus services are operated by Arriva - visit Arriva Bus to view timetables. The nearest train station is at Alnmouth which is 5 miles from Alnwick. Most services are operated by National Express East Coast - visit National Express East Coast to view timetables.

Venue

Runners will be allowed free entry to the Castle - running numbers must be shown to qualify for the discount.

Family and friends will be charged £7.50 (normal price £10.50), 5 to 15 year olds will be charged £2.50 (normal price £4.50) and under 5's will be allowed in for free.

Photography

Running Pictures will be taking photos on the day. You can view and buy the photos after the event from their website.
