Where your money goes

The money you raise helps to save lives

Two scientists in a labLast year Run 10k raised over £4.5 million for our life-saving work, and it's all thanks to people like you.

What your money can do

Here are some examples how the money you raise could make a difference:

  • £10 could buy around 330 glass slides for studying cells and tumour samples in detail under the microscope.
  • £125 could fund one cancer information nurse for a day. Our experienced cancer information nurses provide a confidential service for anyone with concerns about cancer.
  • £500 could cover around a month's running expenses for a clinical trial investigating a new way of giving hormone therapy to improve the treatment of prostate cancer.
  • £1,000 could cover the cost of collecting samples from 20 people with bowel cancer involved in research that may predict which treatments patients would respond to better.
