Fundraising ideas
Smash your fundraising target with these simple ideas
Set a fundraising target
Get started by setting a fundraising target. Remember it doesn't matter how much money you raise, every penny makes a difference.
Collect sponsorship online
Set up an online sponsorship page. It's the easiest way to fundraise and all the money is paid directly to Cancer Research UK.
Once you've set up your page, take a look at our online fundraising checklist (PDF, 74KB – what is a PDF?) to make the most of online fundraising and spread the word about your Run 10k.
Get creative with your fundraising
- Take a look at our fundraising ideas (PDF, 244KB) to help you boost your sponsorship total.
- Our sweepstake form (PDF, 57KB) is a great way to get people involved.
- Ask your boss about match-giving. Many companies will match the amount you raise from their charity fund – it's a tax benefit for them too.
- Use our fundraising checklist (PDF, 97KB) to tick off each activity as you go along.
You can also collect your sponsorship money in person with a Run 10k sponsorship form (PDF, 564KB). Ask everyone you know to sponsor you – colleagues, family, friends and people down at the gym.

Gift Aid it
Ask your sponsors to tick the Gift Aid box. Gift Aid allows us to claim at least 25p from the government for every £1 donated, without any extra cost to your sponsors.
Your fundraising makes a difference
