Run 10k for Cancer Research UK at Coombe Abbey on Sunday 7 September 2008 had to be postponed due to the adverse weather forecasted and extensive flooding at the event site.

The new event date is Sunday 12 October 2008.

The organisers, Cancer Research UK, and Coventry City Council had to make the very difficult decision because of health and safety concerns for the 700 runners due to take part.

Lucy Slonecki, Run 10k event organiser said: "We are very sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience the last minute postponement has caused and we hope everyone understands why we had to do it. The good news is that this event will be rescheduled and Cancer Research UK will contact all participants next week with the new event date and time."
