• Support the work of 4,250 doctors, nurses and scientists.
• Fund the equipment our scientists need to carry out their vital research.
• Carry out important clinical trials
  across the UK.

Some achievements so far

Thanks to better treatments, survival rates have improved for nearly all cancers.

• Over 98 per cent of men with testicular cancer are now successfully treated.
• Almost two thirds of women newly diagnosed with breast cancer are now likely to survive for at least twenty years.
• More than seven out of ten children with cancer are now successfully treated.

Our current work

Last year Cancer Research UK spent £315 million on cancer research. Our work covers every aspect of research, from learning how to prevent cancer to developing treatments.

We also run health awareness campaigns and work with the Government to ensure that cancer prevention and treatment is at the top of the health agenda.
