Terms and Conditions for Run 10k 2008
These terms and conditions apply to your participation in Run 10k for Cancer Research UK 2008 and all associated transactions.
- Run 10k are unable to accept any entries on the day. Due to health and safety reasons we need to make sure that races do not go over capacity. We also need to ensure we have contact details for all participants in the case of an emergency.
- By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for any footage or photographs taken during their participation in Run 10k to be used to publicise Run 10k events and Cancer Research UK generally, including television, website and DVD/video broadcasts.
- By taking part, all participants understand that Cancer Research UK may distribute details and/or images of participants to those providing media coverage of the event and consent to their names and/or images being passed to them and being published in any media reporting details of the event.
- All participants understand that any products distributed at the events are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or substituted if necessary.
- We regret that the £19.50 entry fee cannot be refunded once your entry has been processed due to event and administration costs.
- All participants must write their name and details of any health problems or medication on the reverse of their running number, which must be worn on the front of their T-shirt during the event.
- Any participant unsure of their physical ability to take part in Run 10k is recommended to take medical advice from a GP prior to the event.
- In the case of an emergency Cancer Research UK may use the details provided by you to contact your home or office.
- All participants enter these events entirely at their own risk and Cancer Research UK and associated companies shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of their participation other than as a result of Cancer Research UK's negligence.
- Absolutely no pets, baby strollers/prams or roller skates/blades are allowed on the course.
- Only people aged 16 or over may take part. We strongly advise that all participants and volunteers under the age of 18 are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. We cannot take responsibility for under 18s on the day.
- You have a responsibility to ensure that all sponsorship monies/donations received by you for Run 10k are paid to Cancer Research UK before 28 February 2009.
- Stocks of our T-shirts are limited. In the event that the size requested is not available we will send you an alternative size based on availability.
- Calls to our hotlines may be monitored or recorded to allow us to maintain our standards of customer service.
- We will send you a Donation Station bag to allow you to bring along a filled bag of those items you no longer want which can then be sold in our charity shops to help fund our vital research. Donation Stations will be at selected venues of the Run 10k series only.
- Use of our website is subject to Cancer Research UK's website terms and conditions.
